These terms apply when you submit a photograph to the Sporty Hounds community gallery, operated by Tempest Sports Group Ltd, 25D Lombard Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 3TZ. Contact: sales@tempestshop.com.

1. Who can submit

You must be 18 or over. Submit genuine photos of your dog or a dog you have permission to feature, with an accurate hound name and caption. Keep private details out of the public caption and credit.

2. Copyright stays yours

You retain copyright. You confirm that you took the photos and own the copyright, or that the copyright owner has authorised both your submission and the website licence in these terms. Finding a photo online, buying a copy, or owning the dog does not by itself give you copyright permission. Do not remove another photographer’s watermark or credit.

3. Permission to show the photo

You give Tempest Sports Group Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review, resize, crop and display your submitted photos, hound name, caption and optional photographer credit on the Sporty Hounds website. The website can be viewed worldwide. This licence lasts while the content remains published or is held for review, subject to the withdrawal and retention rules below.

We may use our hosting providers to process the photos for those purposes. You do not transfer ownership or give permission for garment prints, paid advertising, separate social media publication, resale or unrelated use. We would ask for separate permission for those uses. No payment is offered or promised for a gallery submission. We will display the photographer credit you supply where practical and will not deliberately alter a photo in a misleading or derogatory way.

4. People in photos

Dog-only photos are best. If any person is recognisable, you confirm you have their informed permission for publication on this website. For anyone under 18, obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian as well as respecting the young person’s wishes. This applies to people in the background too. If you cannot obtain permission, choose a different photo or remove the person before submitting.

Do not submit photos with home addresses, school names, location information or other identifying private details. Never include intimate, humiliating, threatening or otherwise inappropriate content.

5. Review before publication

Every submission is reviewed. Submission does not guarantee publication, a response, a prize or product availability. We may decline, edit a caption for clarity, crop a photo for presentation, or remove a submission. We will not publish images showing animal cruelty, dangerous activity, harassment, unlawful content or unauthorised third-party material. Please do not put a dog at risk to get a photograph.

6. Removal, permission changes and complaints

You can withdraw your publication consent or ask for a photo to be removed by emailing sales@tempestshop.com. Include the hound’s name, photo link or submission reference. If you are a recognisable person in a photo or own its copyright, you can also contact us to raise a concern. We may ask for enough information to verify the request.

We will stop new use and remove the photo from the website as soon as reasonably practicable following a valid request. We cannot control copies already saved by third parties or search-engine caches, but will assist with reasonable removal requests. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of use before withdrawal.

7. Your details and retention

Your email and private name are used to administer and review the submission, confirm permissions, handle requests and contact you about that submission. They are not displayed in the gallery or added to a marketing list. Only the hound name, photos, caption and optional credit are public after approval.

Unapproved submissions expire after 90 days and are removed during the website’s routine clean-up. Rejected submissions and photos are deleted when a reviewer rejects them. Published photos remain until removed. Permission records are kept with an active submission; they are deleted when the submission is deleted. A limited record may separately be retained if necessary to resolve an actual complaint or meet a legal obligation.
